These Terms & Conditions apply to all grooming services provided by BOOP Dog Grooming ("we", "us", "our"). By booking an appointment, you ("the owner") agree to the following:

1. Services

We provide dog grooming services including (but not limited to) bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, hand-stripping, nail trimming, and ear cleaning. Services are carried out to a professional standard, with the comfort and safety of the dog as our priority.

2. Appointments & Cancellations

  • Appointments must be booked in advance.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, we require at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged up to 100% of the grooming fee.

  • Repeated no-shows may result in refusal of future bookings.

3. Health & Vaccinations

  • All dogs must be fit, healthy, and free from contagious conditions.

  • Owners must inform us of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, parasites, or behavioural issues prior to grooming.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or stop grooming if a dog is unwell or poses a risk.

4. puppy boop specific

  • This package is for grooming introduction and training, not cosmetic grooming

  • No services will be forced - your puppy’s wellbeing always comes first

  • Puppies must be up to date with age-appropriate vaccinations

  • You will be advised when your puppy is ready to transition to full grooming appointments

5. Behaviour & Aggression

  • Dogs must be manageable and safe to groom.

  • If a dog becomes aggressive or distressed, we may stop the groom for safety reasons.

  • Muzzles may be used if necessary, with owner consent (or without consent in an emergency).

  • Aggressive behaviour may result in refusal of future services.

6. Matted Coats

  • Severely matted coats may require clipping short for the dog’s welfare.

  • De-matting can be stressful and may cause discomfort; we will not continue if it risks harm.

  • Additional charges may apply for heavily matted coats.

  • We are not responsible for any pre-existing skin conditions revealed after matting is removed.

7. Accidents & Injury

  • Grooming carries inherent risks, especially for elderly, nervous, or aggressive dogs.

  • While all care is taken, minor cuts, nicks, or abrasions may occur.

8. Fleas & Parasites

  • If fleas or parasites are found, we may have to charge an additional fee in order to cover the costs of sterilising the salon.

  • In some cases, grooming may be stopped and rescheduled once the issue is resolved.

9. Pricing & Payment

  • Prices are based on size, coat condition, behaviour, and time required.

  • Payment is due at the time of collection, unless otherwise agreed.

  • BOOP reserves the right to increase prices in line with labour and product costs. We will endeavour to advise customers of cost increases in a timely manner.

10. Photos & Marketing

  • We may take photos/videos of dogs for records or marketing purposes.

  • Please inform us if you do not consent to your dog appearing on social media or promotional material.

11. Personal Data

  • Any personal information collected will be used solely for business purposes and handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

12. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services at any time for safety, welfare, or business reasons.

13. Liability

  • We are not liable for illness, injury, or death due to pre-existing conditions or circumstances beyond our control.

  • Liability is limited to the cost of the grooming service provided.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By booking an appointment with BOOP Dog Grooming, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

You will be made aware of these terms at your first appointment.
